Bushs "nya" strategi

Så kom då svaret från George Bush. Fler soldater till Irak. Han står fast vid sin ideologiska förkunnelse som övergått i ett slags förblindelse. Trots valnederlaget i höstas och i polemik mot den så kallade Bakerrapporten pekade den amerikanske presidenten i en annan riktning: more of the same. I den brittiska tidningen The Indepedent skriver Robert Fisk i en lysande artikel med titeln "Bush´s new strategy - the march of folly":
"And so more US troops must die, sacrificed for those who already died. We cannot betray those who have been killed. It is a lie, of course. Every desparate man keeps gambling, preferably with other men´s lives. But the Bushes and Blairs have experiences war through television and Holywood; this is both ther illusion and their shield."
